On December 1 and 2, more than 1,000 representatives of governmental, international, non-governmental and indigenous organizations, activists, finance, the private sector, youth, scientists and the media gathered at the World Conference Center in Bonn, Germany, to connect, learn and share ideas and experiences on how to move from commitment to action to achieve sustainable landscapes.
In the past two months, more than 115,000 people have visited the GLF Bonn 2018 website and around 24,000,000 people have been reached on social media. During the two-day event, nearly 12,000 live pageviews were recorded in 126 countries. # GLFBonn2018 and #thinklandscape were trending in the region for two days. The Landscape Heroes campaign gathered 100 entries from around the world, with over 10,000 votes. While the Landscape Academy officially launched with UNEP and the Wageningen Development Innovation Center on December 1 has received nearly 1,000 course registrations.
