Forum Events & Media Group, a meeting-based event organizer, has shifted its entire portfolio to online events until at least March 2021.
The company made the move following new government guidelines on events and gatherings, although it has already switched many of its events to an online format since the pandemic began earlier this year.
As part of the change, Forum expanded its software to create a new interface with live video meetings, allowing the company to build a digital forum platform.
Sarah Beall, Managing Director of Forum Events & Media Group, said: “We have been working hard over the past few months to create safe live events for our audience starting in early October. Like many others in the event industry, we are disappointed that, following the latest government guidelines, we are unable to bring delegates and suppliers together in person.
“However, we respect that the safety and well-being of everyone is paramount during these difficult times and recognize that we are unlikely to see a return to live events in the months to come. This is why we have also developed our digital meetings platform to ensure that the Forum experience can continue for our audiences and facilitate continued discussion within these industries.
“We are fortunate that the nature of events means that we are able to provide a solid online alternative, which many of our friends in the event industry are unable to do. We stand in solidarity with the rest of the events industry which suffers from a huge burden during this time. We hope we can all host live events soon. “
